A couple months ago I bought a one-way ticket to Bogota. My intention is not to stay in Colombia forever, I just always seem to have unfinalized future plans. Colombia was inspired by a variety of good timing events. My best friend Bean was already planning a trip to Colombia to visit her family. Secondly, my seasonal gig came to an end and my next job did not start again for a couple of months. Lastly.. I had 4 other best friends that were willing and able to take time off work to join us on this adventure! Now with a crew of 6 people committed and a very loose-y goose-y plan, we are ready to rock and roll!
The crew I am rockin with are my adventure buddies from Washington. While we like to explore all sports, (not saying we are all good at these sports) we primarily rock climb and hike together! So our plan in Colombia is to rock climb and hike around the Bogota and Bucaramanga area. Then head north to beach hop from Monteria to Santa Marta, hopefully surfing, hiking and scuba diving. More on these adventure to come!
My adventure began with a flight from Seattle to DC about three weeks ago. I decided to come back home, to the east coast, for a couple weeks to visit friends and family. Also tickets out of DCA are much cheaper than Seattle.
Now my departure from DC is a day away and it is time to wrap up packing and coordinating with the crew!

About Me
Greetings!
Welcome and thanks for being apart of this journey! This blog began months ago, but I failed to commit. Now I hope to use this online platform to come together with others, swap some knowledge and share some love.
A bit about me, I grew up in Northern Virginia surrounded by the Appalachia mountains and the Potomac River. Then moved to Blacksburg to attend Virginia Tech, where I was able to connect with new parts of the Appalachia mountain range and explore the New River. Following college I moved to a little town called Port Angeles, nettled between the Salish Sea and the Olympic Mountain Range, in Washington State. In the Pacific Northwest, I developed passions for rock climbing, snowboarding, mountaineering and surfing. My heart is forever lost in those coastal mountains. From there, I decided to take a trip from Colombia to Mexico. An unforgettable experience where I gained new perspective on what is important in life.
Through this blog, I wish to share those wanderings with you. The high and lows, recommendations of food and place to visit and how to be prepared. I hope this blog can help you to plan for your next adventure, inspire some ideas and help you to avoid some mistake that I will inevitably make.
Please write me if wish to share something!
Much Love
